We are proud to be associated with

Our Service -
Breakfast & After School Club

The Minster Schools' Children's Club offers before and after school care for children who attend The Minster Schools.

Breakfast Club

Our staff offer a variety of healthy breakfast options including cereals, toast and fruit.  Children eat and socialise with their friends and the adults.

After breakfast, we offer a wide variety of activities including board games, arts and crafts, team games, construction, small world toys and books.  Each week's activities are planned around the children's interests.

At the end of the session, the Infant Club staff ensure that the children settle into their classrooms.  The Junior School children are signed out from the session and make their way to their class teachers.

Breakfast club opens at 7.45am and costs £5.00 per session, per child.

After School Club

The Infant After School Club takes place in The Nest; a beautiful purpose-built setting on the school site.  The large playroom is zoned into areas for creative activities, construction, a home corner, role play area and reading corner.  We also have use of The Nest's enclosed garden for outdoor play and gardening activities.

The Junior After School Club is based in the dining hall where children can choose to take part in art activities, play board games, enjoy a book or complete homework.  The Junior School assembly hall is perfect for large group games, sports, dancing and film nights and the school's extensive playground facilities, including the nature trail, are available year-round.

Once the children have arrived at their Club, they may take part in activities which are already set out for them, or choose toys from our extensive collection.  Children may help themselves to a drink and a selection of fresh fruit.

We offer a light tea, from a carefully-selected menu which adheres to the School Food Standards.  All of our menu choices are designed to be both healthy and appetising.

After school club closes at 6.15pm and costs £15.00 per session, per child.

  • Do you offer sibling discounts?

We do not offer sibling discounts although siblings of current attenders are given priority on our waiting list.

  • My child is ill and won't attend their booked session.  Do I still need to pay for this?

We require 4 weeks term time notice in writing to cancel and to amend a booking.

  • How many children attend The Minster Schools' Children's Club?

We accept up to 60 children in the Breakfast Club each day (around 24 in Infants and 30 in Juniors).  There are 30 places in the Infant After School Club, and a further 45 places for older children in the Junior After School Club each afternoon.

  • Do you have a waiting list?

When you contact us to enquire about a place, you will be asked to complete and return an Application Form  Nursery Application Form and your child(ren)'s name will be added to the list.  If we have a waiting list at that time we will inform you and you will be contacted as soon as a space becomes available.  The waiting list is run in strict date order, although siblings of current attenders are given priority.  It is very difficult to tell you exactly how long you may have to wait for a place if at that time we have a waiting list.

  • Can I book extra sessions in addition to my normal booking?

If you would like to book extra ad-hoc sessions, you must contact us to check whether we can accommodate your child in advance.  We will then ask you to pay for the additional booking in advance by direct bank transfer and complete a booking form.  Please find our ad hoc booking form on the useful forms page below.
